This class is primarily for adults who recently accepted Jesus but need more knowledge about what it means to be a Christian. However, this class is open to all adults who are seeking Biblical knowledge and wisdom to help them to strengthen their relationship with God.
We have justed started Session 2 of the "discipleship study" entitled, "Growing to be Like Christ." This course covers (1) Growing Deeper in Christ, (2) The Power of Living (applying the "fruit of the Spirit" to our lives(, (3) Personal Time with God (importance of prayer), (4) Entering God's Presence (studying the Lord's Prayer), (5) A Taste of God's Word (ways to study the Holy Bible, to include studying about and celebrating Communion), and (6) the Unlikely Route to Joy. Come and join in on this enlightening study.
Up next, we will do a verse-by-verse study of the book of James. This book may actually be the oldest New Testament book yet still very current for today's Christian. This book deals with the practical side of faith, e. g., trusting God even in hard times, that must be applied to our everyday lives. You will not want to miss this study.
Class members are encouraged to interact by asking questions, reading supporting scriptures, discussions, testimonies, and prayer. This class participates in several 'class gatherings' (cookouts, Christmas, etc.) throughout the year.
We look forward to your visit!
